Where can I download the free mosquito ring tones?

Go to the Mosquito Ring Tones homepage, and try out each of the ringtones to see if you can hear them.  Once you have identified the highest ringtone that you can hear, right click on the mp3 link and select “Save Target As” if you are using IE or “Save Link As” if you are using Firefox.  Next select the path you would like and directory to save the file to your computer.

I can’t seem to hear any of the ringtones?

Some of the ringtones you may not be able to hear due to your age and phsyical characteristics. However, you should be able to hear at least one of the ringtones.  Try playing the 8khz MP3 Ringtone , if you can hear the tone than chances are everything is working properly and the tones you cannot hear are outside your ambulatory hearing range.  If you still cannot hear the mosquito ringtone, check to make sure that your sound is not muted on your computer and your speakers are turned up.  

Why can’t I hear some of the ringtones?
There are a number of environmental and phsyiological characteristics that go into you being able to hear the ringtones.

• Your Age- Your age plays a pivitol role in being able to hear the mosquito ringtones, especially the highest frequency tones.  As you age, the tiny hairs within your ear lose some of their function and as a result your hearing diminishes.  That is why Kids and Teens are able to hear the mosquito ringtone and adults over the age of 25 are less likely to hear them.

• Hearing Loss- If you work in a noisy place or are exposed to loud volume often, your hearing may have been damaged and as a result you may not be able to correctly hear all of the tones.

• Poor cell phone speakers – If you have an older cellphone, you may experience problems reproducting the higher frequencies. There are many types of speakers that are used inside cellphones today, and not all of them are able to reach the higher frequency pitches.  One way you can troubleshoot this problem, is seeing if you can play one of the lower frequency ringtones on your cellphone, if you can then chances are you cellphone is not cabable of playing the higher frequency ringtones.

• Sound Barriors & Background Noise- Sound does not travel well through objects, so if you have your phone inside your purse or pocket you are blocking the sound waves from traveling.  Also, if you are in a noisy environment, you may have difficulty hearing the mosquito ringtones, as the sound may overpower your ability to hear the high frequency pitch of the mosquito ringtone.

• Volume & Distance to your cellphone – The farther you are away from your cellphone the less likely you are to hear the tone.  Additionally if you have your phone set on a low volume, it will be harder to hear the mosquito ringtone.  Try increasing your ringers volume and placing the phone closer to you and see if your hearing ability increases.
